Rick Ross' Succulent Breasts

a game of thrones post

let me first preface this by saying that I haven’t read any of the books, and I probably never will as it seems that the show is covering everything fairly well.

but one thing that annoys the shit out of me is when I see these posts like OMG SANSA IS SO GREAT/BETTER THAN YOUR FAVES/YOUR FAVES COULD NEVER/etc because I’m like

um

sansa was a huuuuuuuuuge asshole. until the very last episode of the season. and I love asshole characters but she spent 98% of the season being unpleasant and insufferable. so what are you people going on about. is it because of the books?

No, its not because of the books.

Okay, Sansa is a flawed character. No one denies that she has her flaws like every other character in the series…

She makes mistakes, she regrets her mistakes. She has dreams, and her dreams are shattered. She is a little girl with fantasies and a pure heart, but she can still be a stubborn child like we all were at her age. I love Sansa because I see myself in her. I see my dreams and hopes, I see stubborn loyalty, I see mistakes, I see growth, I see naivety, and I see innocence.

But she gets most of my love because she’s real. She goes through real changes. She faces some of the greatest masterminds of the entire series — Littlefinger, Cersei, Varys — and she learns from them. She endures horrible things, and she still stands tall. She still tries to keep her heart pure after everything that has happened to her family. She might not learn as fast as we would want her too because she still hopes for the best in people, but she still learns.

And you know what? She’s outlasted a lot of other characters.

Sansa is beautiful.

…So it’s the books.

On a personal note, “we all” were not like that at 13. I damn sure wasn’t.

I do like Sansa in the TV show, although I didn’t at first because of her behavior. But she grew on me near the ending....

  12. applesnpairs said: I like that Sansa, like every other teenage girl, is an insufferably selfish asshole. I only read the first two books, but I’ll say that she’s incredibly strong to go through all the shit she does which endeared me to root for her to get that throne.
  13. schadenfraulein said: She was sheltered and naive for most her life until the last episode. Besides, how smart or great do you expect a 13 yo to be? She’s growing up and I’m eager to see how much she’ll learn. She has a lot of potential to be a great character
  14. anakisa said: it’s bc ppl hate on her “omg so selfish” she’s 13, super sheltered. she saw her family being slaughtered but managed to survive in a horrible world & could end up being queen. I’m a grown ass woman & I wouldn’t be that strong. typical hate on women.
  15. vonnegutandcathair said: yeah i think it is because of the books. idk i always got annoyed by people acting like we’re just supposed to KNOW what happens in the books and form our opinions of characters based on that. like, come on.
  16. cesya said: Hahaha, she’s a huge selfish asshole in the books too. Those people just don’t make any sense.
  17. vincentvangoghfuckyourself said: The first book/season she was just foolish teenage girl who wanted a fairytale romance. Yes she was annoying and a bitch towards her family but I don’t think she deserves to be raped/killed for it. (Like what a lot of her haters keep saying.)
  18. babywipesenthusiast said: Yeah, in the books she’s a terrible little bitch at first and them becomes aware of the bullshit that is happening and is generally awesome.
  19. peroxides said: FUCK SANSA. SHE FUCKED UP. SHE BETTER MAKE UP FOR IT IN SEASON 2. SHE LET THEM KILL HER DIREWOLF AND HER FATHER. UURRGGHH.
