Spice Girls, “2 Become 1 (Live in Istanbul)”

I will never tire of Spice Girl reunions. My favorite moment in this clip is where Baby Spice holds the note at 3:03 for eight seconds. It’s brilliant to think how enduring this girlband was despite how slim their discography remains.

Oh my goodness this is one of the greatest live performances of 2 Become 1 ever.There is so much here that I love:

• Mel C’s voice
• Mel C’s really intense and sort of theatrical way of performing
• Mel B’s unfortunate rainbow colored hair
• Mel B’s rockin bod 
• Mel B laughing at Victoria’s solo
• Victoria in full bitch mode like “yes bitch I can’t really sing and your point being”
• THE CLOTHES - Emma with her gold fucking platform sneakers and pink tipped pig tails, Geri in full glamazon mode in her gold, lycra dress (Geri Halliwell was such a knockout in the 90s)

• 10 year old kids singing along to “Be a little bit wiser, baby - put it on, put it on” blissfully unaware of the connotation and enjoying the fuck out of their lives. 

For the record - I’m glad you all don’t judge me for my strange Spice Girls obsession.
